General dentistry is of course that every dentist must take and pass in order to practice. The overall program spans several years. There are certain requirements that an individual must have to be able to proceed to general dentistry. An individual must pass a four-year course before he is able to apply for admission to college gear. This four-year course often referred to premed, must have certain subjects that are relevant to the main program.
These subjects are microbiology, biology and chemistry. Individuals who would like to become a dentist originally supposed to take an exam that will evaluate the candidacy. These exams are called the Dental Admission Test, which must be submitted to the college along with a gear selection premed college course that the person has taken. There are some cases where only some subjects are necessary for individuals to be accepted into college gear.
